Abu Dhabi in Time Square


It’s that good old debate:  “Can a city or a nation be considered as a brand?”. We say yes. Since the emergence of social media, everyone has become a brand these days, so why couldn’t a destination do the same? Abu Dhabi is the capital of the United Arab Emirates. Overshadowed by the emirate of Dubai up until recently, it has created what we feel is a beautiful brand which is fast becoming ubiquitous worldwide.

Already known for its many cultural and sporting initiatives, the destination brand has recently opened an office in New York to promote Abu Dhabi as a tourism destination. As part of the launch, brand Abu Dhabi kicked off initiatives such as branding the Big Apple’s iconic taxis, erecting a typical Majlis tent in the heart of Time Square and promoting a wide range of attractive travel offers to the Emirate.
